Combat Challenge Series - 2014

Combat Challenge is now going to be a regular feature between two-week off periods of FSO.

It will be a host to historical fighter vs fighter match-ups using SEA terrains of the time and period. The objective will be for the two sides to engage in air combat and shoot down enemy aircraft.

This will be an FSO squad and Walk-on friendly event. All are welcome and it is not mandatory for FSO Squads. This event will take place at regular FSO time at 11PM EST and will run the standard FSO length of 2 hours. It will be unlimited lives in the span of the two hours. All four aircraft will be enabled at T+60. Flight will be disabled at T+120, logs will remain open till all pilots are down.

Using the logs as a record, Points will be recorded for pilots and squads. The scoring will work as follows.

Enemy Kill    =   01 Point
Friendly Kill  =  -02 Points

These points will be recorded and kept over the entire year of 2014. Leader boards in various statistics will be displayed at ahevents.org.

Fly what side you want, but I may ask some guys to switch if it becomes to much of an issue, but most importantly have fun!

- Terrain SOLOMONS
- Fuel 1.00
- Icons (3K for enemy) (3k for friendly)
- Ack  1.0
- Radar will be Tower Only
- Aircraft warning range 12 miles (63,360)
- Tower range set to 12 miles (for display only to match the above setting)
- Visibility 17 miles
- Enemy collisions ON
- Kill shooter OFF

I am so glad this is on!

I know we are all going to have alot of fun!

Besides, I have convinced my wife for years that there is an event every Friday night that I must participate in !

This is a hit! I really had fun last night. I overcame my CHALLENGES to have a really good time. I believe that most folks did as well. The action was a little slow initially. But after the first 15 minutes or so, the battles were raging all over. Continuous action all the way to the end. Thanks for spending the time to create a great new hit event.  :aok

Awesome special event! Well done! How do we check the logs? Cant find it among the other event logs.
