Well I finally broke down and bought a raspberry pi to attempt making a large digital picture frame using a spare 24" monitor I have lying around. It is definitely a neat little computer but going from my i5 @ 4.8GHz to the pi's 700mhz is a real drag. Now I need to figure out how to make this thing work as a digital picture frame.
