No fan or pump noise that way.

As a side note I once met a chemistry student having noise problems with his dual CPU computer. It was way back when an AMD K6-2 @ 500 Mhz was about the best money could buy and the 60mm fans were whistling at some 6000+ rpm. The discussion went back and forth about getting the cooling out of his one-room apartment, the wildest idea being putting the compressor of a freezer on the balcony, tubes coming through the wall into the computer. The problem was that they guy had difficulties to sleep with the computer screaming beside his bed, doing math related to his studies three days in a row for one single calculation!

No, I didn't know much about computers then, just hanging around in the shop to sniff the bitsy atmosphere. I got a feeling that he had more than a couple of variables in his equations, my interests being more on the profit percentage calculations. Probably he also knew and could prove that 2+2 doesn't always equal 4. Actually, it more often equals something else...

:lol 2 apples plus 2 apples is always 4 apples, unless your talking about apple pies or apple sauce. Maybe my question should have been, "Why does 2 + 2 = 4"? :devil

Did you forget the guy was a chemist? 2 apples + 2 apples is one glass of apple cider, ergo 2+2=1. But one small glass of cider is only a tasting sample, after which there'd be nothing left because you had already run out of apples, thus 2+2=0.

On overclicking.net you can see somw weird set ups and awesome builds. One that stands out is a water cooling setup where the guy tapped into his home water supply and cooled his rig this way.

I remember when some custom computer manufacturers were offering 'oil bath' cooling systems.  That idea never seemed to take off though.
