I always drop at around 400m, fast, shallow dive. All bombs detonated, left huge craters in almost the exact spot the T34's were sitting.

Bombs only need what, 1000 feet to arm? do the math, way more than 1200 feet of flight from release to impact, 1000kg bomb it's hard to miss. HARD pull up immediately after release.

I think you may be reading too much into this. That's a subsequent interpretation, but not necessarily the original intention

A 'concession' that also works in favor of planes when ditching in friendly territory with massive damage, thus denying the enemy a kill.

The plane has to be 3.5k or further for him to get a ditch or he records a capture and a kill is awarded.
Most likely he had some hits on him and that player got the kill as already mentioned.

Nope. Only friendly in the area said he didn't even see him, never fired. He towered after 1st drop, respawned, immediately towered as I released 2nd and 3rd time. Friendly GV never fired his gun.

One addition to that- once you start it, no ability to cancel it midway through so people can't hit it before the plane drops and cancel if he doesn't.
