Books
« on: May 10, 2014, 11:01:37 AM »
I know that a lot of skinners have a collection of books that they use to help them skin. Sadly I don't have a single book that I use to help me skin. I do most of my research using Google or things that other people have suggested. This has caused a bit of a problme though since there are no skins being requested right now.

Does anyone have any books that they can suggest that would help? I'm not particular about the country or the aircraft.

90% of mine I have copied to PDF just because some of the magazines/books are getting in rough shape, if you tell me what you need (aircraft, tank etc) I can send you what I have.

Osprey's Aircraft of the Aces series isn't bad. They have a lot of color profiles, plus a lot of photgraphs as well. Just about every aircraft from WWI to present day has a book in this series.
Plus you can get used editions very cheap on eBay.

If you want to do Luftwaffe birds Sandlin's and Bergstrom's Luftwaffe Fighters in Profile Volunes I and II are great as well.

All of my books are PDF's but they are about 90% German A/C and tanks...

I think I have one allied A/C book. If you want them let me know and I can zip a file and pm them to you

Thanks for all the helpful replies, I'm going to be looking into these. I've already got a couple books from Osprey Publishing picked out. I'm going to go out sometime this week and buy a new flash drive just to keep skins files on.

I'm going to take you two up on the offer, every little bit helps.  :)
