Yep - Oldman, Bear, and Slash when we flew together or against one another.  For a while when I was with the 13th TAS, Sax, Pugg, Rude, Yeager and myself seemed unstoppable.

And when I joined JG54, Storch, Tank, Truekill and I had a lot of fun.

Many old WarBirds trainers on my list.

=SD= was the guy that got me started and spent a bunch of time one-on-one teaching me.  Quite a feat!

I learned a lot from a guy named Tac back in 2000/2001 after he took me into the world of p38 bomber flying.  After that was Citabria and Kappa who i observed and pulled some knowledge from.

After that, it was dieing over, and over, and.. you get it.  ;)

My very first would have to be Lynx hands down.

Still in game it would have to be all former and current members of the 80th

The guy that sticks in my head is juice= from WB's.  He was the one that really got me thinking about beating the pilot, not the plane.  Many, many others have taught me stuff over the years, but he's the one that got the ball rolling.

If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

Drex, Gryf, and Wor were amazing.  At the 2001 AH convention in Grapevine, I watched drex destroy all comers in the con dueling bracket.  I stood behind him and watched the guy with his left elbow propped on the table holding up his chin while his right hand guided the stick.  Never got exited, just whooped arse

That there in bold is why Bat is a great find for a new guy.... he will always offer the opportunity of more than a turn or two for the newer guy...and the more experienced like myself...it allows for learning and gaining confidence to try something you may not have done/or had the opportunity to do in the past.... not many guys like this now....to much kill as fast as you can...I am the master types.... <S>  Bat

Cheers Tongs, we both know it's about the fight not the winning

When I first started playing I ventured into the ww 1 arena just to mess around. Soon a red dot appears on the radar so I head that way. The quickest ive ever been shot down. It was Iwlf. After many attempts over the course of a couple weeks he gave me some pointers and before long I was able to shoot him down a time or two although I think maybe he let me just so i wouldn't loose interest. I took his lessons very serious and they have helped my game tremendously.  <S> Iwlf

Never thought about that, but I'll bet it's true.
