Yes, pretty brave I guess. . . or generous.

I think we are going to need a patch for AH so that text is still readable. I have my fonts set to maximum already, and it's really tough with 4.0x factors. Or. . . maybe there is a setting in AH I don't know about.

Yep I can see them being generous as well due to what we paid for this hardware........good way to keep a few more customers around.......marketing ploy.

Roger that on the text!

I also am set at max fonts as well & I wear cheaters w/ bifocals to boot......................... . :old:

Well, I would create a wish list item, but I am hoping Skuzzy comes along in the morning and tells us how to do it.

wow, good thing I kept reading or I would have missed the thing about text.  I thought my gpu wasnt handling the higher resolution well.  everything looks pretty cool.  I can pick individual ack guns on the fields from further out.  I was flying low over trees and it was awesome.

I can't believe how great everything looks in AH.  At 4.0 this AM just messing around offline, I can't believe how stuff looks, and the detail and ability to pick little things out, like ack guns such as Semp was saying.  Very, very cool.  The small text is...small, but I'll tolerate it for now.  I tried some mid level settings, and was able to find a DSR in the middle of the road sort of setting where I could still read the text, but still see some big benefits.  4.0 looks so amazing though.

I guess I have to be 'that' guy *sigh*.

I have an EVGA GTX-780SC with 3GB.  I upgraded to 344.48 yesterday.

When I open up the Global Settings tab of the Manage 3D Settings program, DSR - Factors is not showing up in settings.

Did I miss an important step?

Thanks for any help.

How many monitors are you using and at what resolution?

Yes, you might try it with just one.  :aok

EDIT: You can get it to work in surround, but only in 3-way SLI.

Kepler and Fermi drivers are available to bring Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR) support to those GPUs. This is my favorite part of Maxwell and now you can have it without having to upgrade.

looked on the site, but cant see anything that says a GTX760 will do DSR?

Reconfigured the surround.
Set middle monitor to Primary.
I set some modest parameters and ran at 1920x1080.
Flew Aces High.
Wow.
I'm going back in to play with the resolution.

I traded my two 760's for a single 780.  No SLI for me for awhile.

Thanks for your response.

DSR-Factors 4.00x.
3840x2160 (native resolution).
Cranked smoothness up to 100%.

Aces High frame rates above 60fps in all regimes.

It looks very nice.

I suppose I'd better get that savings plan going for a second GTX780.

Great Thread!

found DSR (1.2 at 50% for starters)
disabled AA
went into AH and all I get is 2100x1100 (prolly cuz im on a panisonic HDTV)

anyway, when I go into AH and hit CNTL I, it tells me the amount of mem im using but not the FPS.

thoughts?

I think I've honed in on what I will call optimized DSR res.................

In Nvidia 344.48 driver's NVCP:

Of course I'm sticking w/ DSR factors set @ 2.25% native resolution (2560x1440 native res x 2.25% factors = 3840x2160 or 4K) & 80% smoothness.

Dropped AA from 16xCSAA all the way down to 2x (least amount of AA to be applied at Nvidia driver level), TransAA down to Multisample (least amount of transparent sampling to be applied at Nvidia driver level). Kept FXAA enabled to offload the GPU some by using the CC's to post process AA & all other alpha graphics driver settings are set at max (AF, TF & Vsynch).

In AH Video Settings (alpha graphics settings) & in-game settings (beta graphics settings):

Video Settings------Vsynch is disabled & AA slider set to None (disabled) so all in-game alpha graphics are set/controlled by the Nvidia driver.

In-game beta graphics settings--------Object Detail & Detail Distance sliders are full left (max) w/ gamma set at 1.0. Disabled other planes skins, display horizon & enable ground clutter are enabled. In Advanced section all boxes are checked (enabled all shadows, detailed water, buildings, etc), EM box checked (enables environmental mapping) w/ slider set at 1 notch off full updates.

Game runs very smooth holding 59-60 FPS so far thruout & the graphics are friggin beautiful...........looks like a whole new game! Gonna be interesting how all this is gonna work out w/ the new AH graphics update that is coming........

Checked my 780Ti in PrecisionX:

Vid card was running steady at BIOS-set max boost clocks of 1020 MHz (ref 780ti w/ base clocks 876 & boost clocks 980) & mem running steady at 3499 MHz using 92%-96% GPU power (max power @ 100% @ 1.2v....actual @ 1.175v....pretty close) holding GPU temps @ 63*C-70*C w/ fan speed @ 100% (using custom fan speed control profile in PrecisionX to set fan at 100% power @ 60*C = 4,136 RPM's). Vid card mem usage hit 1.17 Gb so my 780Ti is being pushed pretty hard.......

Any raising of either AA or TransAA settings or moving the EM to full updates from the current settings that I gave will start causing micro stutters.

All my hardware is set up & running on stock out-of-the-box settings: I7 4820K CPU is optimized based off AI Overclock X.M.P. setting (uses the SPD readout of the system mem to optimize the CPU accordingly so CPU is optimized off the SPD readout of the Mushkin Stealth 16Gb DDR3 2133Hz 4x4Gb quad channel mem kit (mem timings, voltage, etc are also set in BIOS to comply)...see sig below. The GTX 780Ti is running stock as well. I have some OC headroom to use but I'll save all that for the new graphics update....if it's needed.

It's all good....except for that tiny text....real hard to read them icons but when your already wearing cheaters w/ bifocals well you know.....................

 :old: :D

This is where I landed at using DSR. Can't see me turning this off, period!

Alright time's up. Gotta get back to flying & drooling..................... ....
