Forgive me, this may be a long post. I have once again found the need to scratch the itch of WWII air combat. I am back in Aces High. I have noticed in my flying and in the forums a distinct difference in ability of the pilots. I see a lot of complaining about the community being bullies and not friendly to new players. I find this a bit off kilter. If anybody would like to witness a sh*tty community, look no further than EVE Online. That is where I come from. I am good there. I suck in Aces High. I fly whatever I dam well please (P-38 and Niki, mostly). Don't judge me! I have played air combat simulators since Chuck Yeager's Air Combat. Aces High, for all its faults, is still amazing. We must stick together. We must encourage others to join. This is not just a game. It is a sport. Real skill is needed to win. One must know their machine. This game emulates these needs. I love getting thoroughly beaten. I save the films and study them. I am learning my various favorites (yes the spit16 is one of them, don't judge me). This is a petition to all the players of this wonderful sport. Don't let it die. Don't let this dream collapse under our arrogance. Everyone that enters the arena is a person, not a target. Keep them here. Nurture them and mentor them. The fights will only get better. The warrior's code will stand. Welcome everyone. It will keep this dream alive.
