Thanks for the review, was thinking about a R9 290 myself. running a GTX760 now but not happy with graphics, FR is fine but not a clear view  and I see that is a big different between the 2 cards so going to try the 290.

Have my R9-290 and it is doing very good. FR of 59/60 all the time and view is clear. the price has come way down on them with the 300's getting ready to come out. And thanks to all that helped me get it set up.

The AMD R9 290 series vid cards are very good cards, especially w/ AH.

If I may, what driver did you go with? Cat 14.9 WHQL or Cat 14.12 Omega?
