Thank you for your imput. I done fighting this dead community

The community isn't dead, not even close.  We just tend to ignore some of the more vocal idiots, so don't be worried if people start to ignore you, the community is just fine.

Wizz if your intent is to troll or show your cluelessness, I'm afraid to say you've only proven the cluelessness.

I keep wanting to give you the benefit of the doubt, but you keep shooting yourself in the foot.

Frankly you havent been around long enough to comment.  You have been around to become part of what many of us see as the problem however.

Ack the community cant ignore me. You might but I rile emotions that cannot be contained.

I have made my frienda and earned the respect of those who i fly with. They know me you do not. So although i respect the people who disagree i do not respect the opinions of those who whine on the bbs about how bad the game has become. you adapt and overcome... and when that fails you log for the night.

and soon one day your kind wont be able to afford the hardware update that is coming or will just give up before that glorious day when AH returns to her glory of old. Then people like myself who are many in this community but lack the resolve to fight it out with you on bbs takes over. Yes you are the majority now but your days are numbered.

This game will be great and mighty in the days to come. So get with it or keep fighting me in bbs. I will co tinue to have a FineTime regardless.

That was highly dramatic of you.

Sadly you've not been around long enough to know what "many" really means in AH terms.

The game has never been the issue.  It's most often the people playing who set the tone.

Some play with the understanding that it's not just thier fun that matters.  Others like yourself play the game only thinking about how it impacts you.

I have this vision of you shouting to the cartoon heavens about your latest effort to impact on gameplay negatively and then realizing you are talking to yourself as everyone else has left.

If that's your goal, you are doing a great job

Is your aim to become the most "reviled player in AH" or the biggest, clueless dolt?  From where I'm sitting at, you're leading in the clueless dolt title.

So although i respect the people who disagree i do not respect the opinions of those who whine on the bbs about how bad the game has become. you adapt and overcome... and when that fails you log for the night.

Wizz, you know me, have flown with me and I believe respect my opinion.  Hopefully you respect me enough to read and consider what I am about to say.

First, I respect your enthusiasm.  You're an energetic guy (I know from talking to you!).  I think you largely mean well also.  Kudos on recruiting and adding players to the game.

That said, you can't try to "rile up" (read: troll) the community with every-other thread/post and then expect to have your opinions respected by anyone.  It really appears to me that your approach to the forum is largely one of trolling the player base.  Many players treat the forum this way -- like an extension of the game where the intent is to combat others or simply grief them.  I've never embraced that approach.  Like Guppy, I believe you are getting that reputation -- and I agree with him that makes you more problematic than helpful here, in my opinion as well.

I realize you are trying to counter the negativity on the forum -- that is a good intent.   It's not necessarily what you are saying, but how you are saying it that is the problem. Here's an important thing to keep in mind: Many people who take the time to monitor this forum, comment on it and, yes, even "whine" on the forum, are people who care.  If they didn't care, they'd simply leave the game.  I'm sure there are plenty of those as well, people we never hear from, and who leave without a word.  While some comments/suggestions on the forum can be completely off-base, many are valid symptoms of actual problems with the game and some players' approach to it (like the HQ griefing that is definitely on the rise).  Usually a player's frustration level has to be rather high for them to take time to comment on the forum.  So, they don't always do it the right way, however, this doesn't make their points invalid.  Taking your approach of then "poking the bear" doesn't help at all.

With all due respect (again thinking you really mean well), you haven't earned the credibility in the community to engage with some of these long-time (and respected) players the way you have.  I'd simply suggest trying to be a little more respectful and open-minded of opinions you don't agree with.  I think if you do that, you'll eventually find you have much more in common than you thought -- and that is that we all want a healthy, thriving and fun Aces High game and community.  HTC is working hard to bring out a new update to the game, to hopefully reach that end.  Time will tell on that.  But in the meantime, there are some painful (to those who care) things going on in the game that are cause for complaint/concern (good or bad).

Please take a step back and consider what I've said before replying.  Maybe even sleep on it first.

Respectfully,

Ryno

For those of us playing this game for well over a decade, Aces High is more of a social club. The game just provides the framework. I keep logging in for the people and Pipz was the kind that you keep coming to meet again.

I mean really....come on. This game doesn't appeal to the masses, I don't think it's intended to. Few come and fewer stay. It's not an easy game and frankly only those who are interested in WW2 fighting would even try it out. Add in that it's not arcade, and even the players we deride have more skill than those who play the other "sims". I agree with wizz that our word of mouth is the best advertisement, and seeing all the whine threads about the same old boring horse hockey isn't going to draw people in. It's a shame that the whine threads outnumber threads of real interest to those who play and those who MIGHT play. I'd almost be willing to bet that this forum couldn't go even one week with out someone starting a BMW thread. If I had looked at the forums before I started, I probably would have gone somewhere else. IT'S A GREAT DAMNED GAME! THANK YOU DALE AND ROY and the rest of you who put up with our crap and give us great fun in spite of ourselves!
