Looks bad.

Cannot figure out what happened.

Maybe they had recently hired some factory Health and Safety Inspector consultants from Texas.   :uhoh

The Party has been closing down ordinary Chinese social media commentary on the explosion and its aftermath.

Good to know they have their priorities straight, condolences to the locals.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

The news I've read say that the explosion was at a port facility that specialized in storing hazardous materials (which in this case obviously includes explosive materials).  There are lots of industrial chemicals that, in large quantities, can make a large blast.

I think, but might be wrong on this, that Zack was insinuating that the US government had something to do with it?

That's What's I heard as well. Coincidence about the currency that day and evauling and economy there recently has me suspicious. Regardless, that was s tragic event hurt way more people that we can percive.

No

Why would US investers blow up their own chemicals?

currency?  And the economy causes explosions?

Word has it the US EPA sent the 3 key inspectors on their staff and Larry, Curley and Moe thought they needed a match to check the bottom of a barrel.
