I did not know him personally but certainly saw his name pop up in the chat buffer many times over the years. There is a certain level of comfort seeing those familiar names appear year after year. Behind each ID is a unique person and all of us are connected through our experiences in this game together. I'm reading about him, and thinking of his family and those friends who shared a closeness with him.

I will be posting a date and time for the memorial flight.  I am organizing and discussing with the squad now. 

Thank you everyone.  I know WWhiskey touched us all.  What I do know is in the early 1980s, while serving in Germany in the US Army, he was at an air show that had an accident.  He rescued people and suffered from burns and smoke to his lungs.  This led to respiratory problems which led to heart problems.  WWhiskey was a really big man.  Not fat.  Big.  As Alpha81 put so accurately, "WWhiskey was a Gentle Giant". 

More to follow in the coming days for his memorial flight.  This will be a mandatory event for G3-MF.

WWhiskey was my friend and I told him that several times.  I will miss you sir even though our personal interactions were few I knew you well from how you treated everyone here.  Thanks for sharing part of your life with myself and my other friends sir, Blue Skies ......

I was thinking we should do a memorial epic tank battle in lieu of the flight? What do y'all think? We could all climb crazy canyons and pick each-other off! How fun would it be to send him off with a 250 tank battle? I say this because he was the one that taught me how to range a tank (never listened well though).
