Japan is your fliend. Or at least it is mine. Yes, yes, they harpoon whales in the name of science. The hypothesis is that whales taste good. After having some minke in Reykjavik, I can tell you that those boys are on to something.

Meanwhile, those snot-noses on the Steve Irwin will continue harassing the dear, dear Japanese until someone tests the hypothesis that a harpoon will fix what ails a snot-nose.

You should head to Tokyo... expensive accommodations and Sake on you until you're faced and under the table. Just don't be surprised if you wake up with a draft aft.

So whales are not to blame for Iran or the Opra Winfrey show?

I would like to visit Japan, I would be above average height there which would be good for my self esteem.

If I had family in Iceland, I would probably choose to retire there. No trees, but, hey, 33% gun ownership. lots of Vikings, 4x4s, glacial water, ATVs on the skree, near-zero crime levels, and quality graffiti... what's not to like?

Whales? Yes, save me some whale.

These Japanese are so clever I chose to marry one of them.

My Word!

Scandalous!

Especially given that Commander Ryan, my mother's father, was out there doing surgery on those brave marines during the big one. I go and marry one of the (female) descendants.

Or was it the thing about the whale?

Zack didn't give me a "my word!" for the reference to squid pie.   :cry

But it's like he said.  They got given a "my word" and everything, and we hasn't got given no "my word."  That's like unfair or something.

The guys using this ploy down south are really just rude...NZ Govt. are too soft....That Steve irwin group...(Can't thing of their name right now)... should be arrested...yes they have goodish intentions but the way they go about it is just plain and simply dangerous..They are no better than the ones whaling. The Japanese are being obtuse, but until someone with power to do something grows some, they will continue... most of the world is against this yet all of the world doesn't want to step on their shoes.... why so scared????
Painting the words scientific on the side of a fishing boat is like painting a red cross on the side of a M1 Abrams
