It would depend on your definition of "sport".

I lump pool, skeet shooting, golf, bowling, fishing, archery and some others into the same category.  They all require some skills, but none of them are excessively demanding on the physique.

I call them all sports as they all measure your performance against others.

Is AH a sport?

I am pretty "games" also have a competitive component too.  Football is a game and a sport.

So, sure.  Why not?
They had a CSGO tournament on ESPN....they show golf on ESPN...they show shooting on ESPN...

Skuzzinator is right why not?

been playing golf for 30 years maybe.  it isnt a sport.  I have yet to sweat other than because it was summer and it was hot.

semp
Try swinging a golf club the same MPH as like Bubba or Rory throughout 18 holes....what is going to happen is your going to continually hit the ball worse and worse...this is because your stabilizer muscles are getting tired and your losing positive control of your club compared to the ball.

Golf takes more hand eye coordination then most "sports"

Combat Challenge allows you to compete as a squad or individual pilot for prizes and bragging rights... Jus Sayin...  :bolt:
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

I don't know. Judging from the posts in that forum it looks like it fizzled out. I've never participated in it. I was always under the impression that it wasn't ran by CMs but I see a lot CM's in that forum.

I'll take a look into it. <S>

certain individuals were dodging fights.   Ones they didn't want to lose I suppose.  If it was sponsored or run by the CM team then I'm sure it would be more successful with the appropriate level of respect and fairplay between opponents.   BaldEagl's bracket was always plagued by the same sort of drama.

Would love to see more competitive events in AH where the  :ahand:cheers: and   :salute can be kept above the      :bhead  :furious

It is amazing that as a community we let the one or two bad apples spoil the rest of the fun that can be had with these types of events.  Zero tolerance is the only way to go.

Hmmm... Perhaps, we could work something out :)
