Better graphics card worse frame rate?

I just upgraded my graphics card from an AMD R7 360 to a GE Force GTX 960 my frame rate in Beta went from around 60 frame using the 360 to now around 20-30 with the 960 how can this be considering its a much better card?

Did you remove the AMD drivers before installing the 960?

After having done that, what drivers are you using for the 960?

If you do not take care to clean out all the driver and utility bits and pieces for the AMD card, it will cause performance issues for the NVidia card.

As said, user the guru3d driver cleaner utility for both nvidia and amd, the reinstall the latest nvidia driver

Well I took the advice and uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled the GE Force but no changes stille seeing on 20-25 fps, any other ideas? Thinking possibly a new cpu upgrade could I be bottlenecking my gpu? heres my diag info attached.

This is a very far fetched idea, but where is your monitor actually connected? Directly to the end of the video card (where it should be) or in the computer's back plate?

I'm asking this because your DxDiag says "Processor: AMD A6-3620 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics".

I noted that too.  It seems the computer has reverted to using the built-in GPU.  Easy to correct in the NVidia control panel.

Yes, as long as he really cleaned out the previous AMD drivers, and set the 960 to be the default video card, he should be getting better performance.

Does that 960 have a PCI power plug?  If so, if it is not connected, it could slow the card down.

Are you sure you connected the monitor to the correct card?

What video card does AH show in the "Video Settings" screen?

Yup, check those power plugs.  Dragun, sounds like sound advice.  It took me 3 days of  with a video card install, before I noticed that one of the power plugs was an 8 pin plug and the other was a 6 pin plug.  Good thing I had upgraded my Power Supply, it was a quick fix from there.

If not the power plugs or monitor connections, then might there be a jumper to turn off the onboard graphics?  Some time ago, I recall needing to do that.

PCI-E power plug is connected to the card and the monitor is connected to the card correctly. The thing is I play ARMA and the card seems to be working fine with that im using high to very high settings no problem, but when I try and play Beta I'm getting 25 fps at best. When I go into the Video setting in Beta my GE Force 960 is selected.

You're not the only one that is having issues with the AMD CPU.

Reading about the card, there seems to be some question as to whether or not you can run a dedicated gaming video card with the AMD A6-3620 APU.  There are a lot of threads on various gaming sites from people having the same issue and sadly, it doesn't seem anyone has gotten a straight answer from AMD or HP.  Something that I noticed, all of those that I read about having troubles were HP machines with the AMD A6-3620 APU.  I also noticed that there is no way to disable the HD graphics on the AMD APU, there are no jumpers to set or a setting in BIOS.
