What was your first gun?
« on: June 15, 2016, 12:30:27 PM »
Mine was a savage model 72. Single shot 22 rifle with a horrendous trigger, so basically a good youth rifle.

"Banana Clip".  Haha.

10/22 as well, stainless, but no "bananas", I had to make do with 10 round rotary "magazines" until I delivered enough papers to afford my first high cap magazines for it.  Some sort of cheapy 4x scope as well, I can't recall the type as I upgraded to a decent optic soon after.  Built many 10/22s since then in various configs, but still have the original stock one.

My brother and I shared a Remington Model 514 single shot 22 rifle.

The first firearm I bought was a Ruger 10/22...bought it in '69 I think, cost me $49.  Still have it.

I have that exact gun floob, was my 3rd gun actually. My first was a bb gun, then a tiny .22, believe it was a Remington. It's now my daughter's and so is the savage like one you posted.

Ruger Black Powder 45. My best friend had the stainless steel model, I got the blued one. Accurate, not a bad kick, and if you shot a hollow point, well, anyone who has shot a low velocity 45 knows what damage it will do.
