why wouldn't you just start a fresh thread? having a poll in the middle of another thread doesn't make much sense.
For four reasons:
1. Voting already started in that thread.
2. Moving votes from that thread over to this one is confusing.
3. The voting in that other thread isn't in the middle (as you thought), but at the end, so it's not a problem.
4. The only person who has to count the voting is me -- all anyone else has to do is put in his one vote.
