You have had half hour to day long lags between requests to be added to groups. Your new player, or less than active because of work and schedules have to hit the forum, scour the forums for instructions, wait for access to then get to see the forum. I'm not going to jump through that hoop and I know how it works, you want the casual player to do it? More power to you.

But, you are getting a lot of views, so I guess that's good. I'm trying to suggest to you that simpler would possibly convert those views, glances, into participation if it was a little, just a little bit less complicated and restrictive. But, hey, what do I know

Seems like quite a few steps for the CMs to undertake just to monitor the forums looking for people who want in, and a wasteful step for anyone who simply wants to follow the action. It's your time though. I'm not picking on the event, I'm just suggesting that simpler often times is actually better.

Actually, registration in this one is vastly easier and less restrictive for people, especially the casual user.

All they need to do is send me a message telling me what they want to register to fly. No need to go to do it through ahevents.net and the difficulty that historically has caused with the bugginess of the Joomla.

So, there has been a gigantic improvement in easiness.

Once they do that, I add them to the forum. They don't have to ask.

If they are walkons, though, who haven't sent me a registration message, all they need to do is ask to get access to side forums, etc. -- just like before.

Thank you for the input. Swareiam and I will keep it and other suggestions in mind for next scenario when we consider the advantages and disadvantages of various approaches of doing things.

Howdy. I'm sorry you couldn't get in.

Scenarios allow anyone to play as long as they show up by 3 pm Eastern. After that, things are underway, and the event is closed to new arrivals.

If you show up by 3 pm Eastern, you are in. You don't need any secret code.

I hope that you can join us for frame 4 (Saturday, June 24th at 3 pm Eastern in Special Events 2 arena).
