You can double check in the arena settings, but I believe 65 feet for dot and 250 feet for bar.

65ft was a while back 150 should be correct for dot dar and I believe its the same for bar but it should be higher.

Just so we are all talking the same language, 250 ft. for Radar & 65 ft. for Dar Bar.

For a dot to appear within an active radar ring, the plane needs to be above 65'. For a plane to create a radar bar for the sector, it needs to be above 250'.

In the arena settings, RadarAlt is for dots and SectorCounterAlt is for the bar.

If you are in the sector, but outside the radar ring, you will trigger the darbar without being seen on radar.   Same thing happens if you are in the radar ring but the radar is down.

When I first got here after being frustrated about not being able to find aircraft someone said "Just fly to the nearest darbar" and explained it to me quickly which obviously I did not understand because for a couple of days I was circling the actual "darbar" looking for enemies.

That reminds me of kindergarten when I was told for the first time that we were having a fire drill that day, and I freaked thinking they were just going to burn the place down.

Lyme,

Also beware of flying near where a task force may be and not being under the 65 ft.   Can't tell you how many times the radar has been up on the CV or base and a noe raid is headed somehere and isn't under the 65 ft ceiling.  You see all these nice little enemy dots with no dar bar and it tells you they are all on the deck.

65ft?? That's why we don't really see NOE attacks anymore.

Well it just means you take the radar first, unless your guys can maintain 65 feet.  If your side porks all the dar on the front, it still gives the NOE an element of surprise.  Regardless of dar up or down though as soon as your guys are inside the radar ring the base icon flashes anyways.
