Never, you should see some of the cars I have owned in my lifetime. You do what you have to do to get by.

SVO mustang had a 205 horsepower 4 cylinder engine.

Negative.

Dozens of sources all say 175.  Including Ford's own website.

http://performance.ford.com/enthusiasts/collector-vehicles/mustang/svo/1984.html

Many think that it's 205 or more HP, but it wasn't, as the SVO was actually a second quicker 0to60 than the 302 models of that year, due to much less weight and a different drive ratio - but it was 175HP and 210lb/ft T.

I'd like to see Ford make a modern SVO and put the V6 EcoBoost engine from the Raptor/whatever into the Mustang as well, but they probably don't want to cut into their own GT sales.  It'd be cool though.  Still, the 4cyl turbo in the Mustang now, again $8kUSD in new turbo/mods, have been putting over 500 down to the rear wheels, dealers have even been selling these modded like this online.

EboBoost in a 65 Falcon - Eric Bana is a huge Ford Falcon lover and once mentioned thinking about trying something similar in an interview.  I like it.

Yes, the 1984 SVO was introduced with 175hp.

But after 1985.5 it was 200hp as advertised in ford's own brochure.

Believe me, I went through the hassle of trying to find 5 lug wheels to fit one back in the days that mustangs only had 4 lug wheels..........something about clearing the rear calipers, if I recall.

Now the XR4Ti stayed at 175hp.

Rgr Dodger - for 84 and 85 it was 175, then it was 205 for the 85.5 and then it dropped in HP again to 200 for the 86.

Xr4TI - I haven't thought about that car in a long time.
