AFAIK no confirmed details about background or motive is out. There is a lot of attempts to assign him to various political views but  at this point i dont trust any of it.

Anything in print at this time other than simple statistics is pure speculation. And there is a LOT of that. Real answers, if there are any, won't be released for several days to allow for collection and analysis. So far no indication the creep had a FB page and published "manifesto" like so many other kooks do.

58 dead so far, with 500 plus in the hospital. I've seen the videos; the guy had to have had several automatic weapons stored with him, because that is all you hear, is the rapid fire of rifles.

I thought one of the bursts sounded like it possibly came from one of those cheap kits you can get to mount a pair of AKs with a crank handle like a gatling gun, there was a steady stream going for a while then it sounded like the ROF dropped off right before it stopped.  May have been bump fire setups as well, If you're just gonna spray up a crowd with no worry about aiming they will put a lot of lead downrange in a hurry.

My thoughts as well. I've shot some of the bump mods, but the first video I saw, which was Aldean on stage singing, did not sound like the bump mods. Those first couple of rounds were very rapid.

You also have another valid point. The shooter was just throwing rounds down range into the crowd. A very, very sad day for all those involved. I have some friends that were down there in Vegas this weekend for the Route 91 festival. We still haven't heard from them yet.

Great news, my friends are okay! But, what they’ve told me about what they witnessed I cannot share on this forum. It is too horrifying, and too surreal. I’m just glad they’re okay.

this was a bad one.  it is going to hurt for a long time.

of all instances in the world where change was enacted to prevent a repeat event.  This is certainly near the top. .....

i know rule 14 is right there.



The story i got on tv last night about 5 hour lines to give blood... :salute
