Terms like "backflip", "powerloop" etc are very common in RC drone community and these are more and more used (wrongly IMHO) when talking about full size aviation too. Similar to the word "drone" being used to describe anything that is unmanned and flying or even instead of an UFO.
I don't disagree here. New R/C pilots are generally not aviation inclined, in fact they generally have no idea how a fixed wing aircraft flies. Some more advanced 3D maneuvers have weird names that may make it on to the full scale side (waterfall, avalanche, blender, etc.). I am not sure how popular "backflip" is in terms of fixed wing. I suppose one could correlate a loop and a backflip a they correlate maneuvers of a quadcopter and a fixed wing aircraft. Also, on the "drone" topic, I hate the term and always will. My R/C aircraft are technically drones, I suppose, but so is a Predator. What I have is a remote controlled Bf 109E, not a drone
