Not all of us have that experience with toxic players.

I talk on vox or pm players in other countries all the time. We have fun conversations and
talk about all kinds of topics. I even invite players from other countries to join our small group on vox.
Chatting with players you are fighting really is allot of fun. We laugh allot and learn from our opponents as well.

The so called toxic players can be squelched for text or range by right clicking on their callsign in the roster.
It is easy to de-tune channel 200 and avoid toxic players if you wish to get rid of all them in one easy click of the mouse.

I don't always squelch for being toxic, but if a player talks allot and I need to hear a gv engine start up..
...the talkative player gets squelched......even though I like that player. I know many gv'ers that do that. It was not my original idea.
Players do not know they have been squelched so they do not get offended.

My two cents.

I'm not a huge fan of modding people beyond the usual hate speech stuff, I much prefer giving the players the tools to filter the people they don't want to listen to.  You have to go looking for 200, and while there seems to be an awful lot of griping on it lately it can still allow for chatting with the people on the other countries.

It's online gaming.  There will be trolls/maladjusted a-holes/people you don't want to interact with.

I'll make it simple 200 is an option just like this forum the same complaints and crosstalk that happens here happens on 200 .. the only difference is at least on 200 they are coming from a larger percentage of contributing players if you can handle it here 200 shouldn't ruffle any feathers

Next people will be asking for hitech to remove the blood splatter from inside the cockpit on a PW cause it upsets them and it's too violent

Ch 200 isnt the MOST troubling as TOXICITY goes. The issue WITH DE-TUNING 200 is the PM's. 200 is rare, that you will get the outright HATRED SPEWED. I like the back and forth on 200 just as much as the next guy. The issues that I have brought up about TOXICITY wasnt on NORMAL channels. How many times do you see on CH200..."put it on 200...QUIT PMing ME....". THAT DONT HELP EITHER :uhoh   If typing in all CAPS gets under your skin..can you not see how toxic actually SPELLING OUT attacks will hurt? :uhoh

How does detuning 200 prevent insults? Is it no longer an insult if its just published, but not seen by the insultee (is that a word? the person being insulted?).
