January 2019 FSO - Marianas Madness - Frame 2 Score
« on: January 21, 2019, 08:28:09 AM »
Gentlemen,

Again, we apologize for the mix up in the setup on last Friday.

The frame yielded no results on either side.

Therefore the frame will not be scored.

Frame 3 will give the opportunity to move all Allies ahead for the win or allow the Axis win the frame a tie the event.

Good luck to you all...

That's why the frame isn't scored...

Honestly

Why not score it?   It is no ones fault Axis or Allied the CV was in the wrong sector.   That was a CM thing.   On the other hand scoring it a Axis victory puts us right back in a position where this Friday is for all the marbles this month.

The Axis sank a ship, a valid target.   They really should get the credit for it.   Just my opinion.

Well...

It does seem a little unfair. But the CMs understand. Because of the setup mistake. The Axis did execute their missions and did destroy a valid target.

Again, our apologies to the Allied team. We are taking steps to ensure the configuration is right this Friday.

Allies = 0

Axis = 10

Axis Victory!

It is a dead heat, winner take all in frame 3.

The operation was a success, yet I fear we have awoken an angry, albeit slightly obese, giant.  :devil  :cheers:

TO be honest, the axis should have notified the CM staff of the issue, problem was, 56th was on attack, so I wasn't even looking back at our fleet positions.

I figured the defence would have brought this up; especially if they were just fflying around an empty sector.

Point being, If i noticed something like this, i'd like to think I'd report it for correction. Fun for all, rubber bullets for rudboi.  :devil

I was on 150 axis command, axis country, and CM 202 and I saw other axis pilots and COs doing the same...and it had the same effect....no boats were put in 10 8

apparently the allied commanders sent their planes to the wrong grid, there was 1 lonely sbd, that if he had gone just a little further north, would've found the boat.

for the record, I did reported it on 150! the boat was then moved, but apparently not far enough. I made note of that also, but hey what do I know.

I would like to give kudo's to the FSO CM's. 99.9% of the time they get it right. occasionally stuff happens. what happened last week highlights that we're all human. the best part is, it was a mistake and they made the effort to make it right. that in itself shows the integrity of the CM's.

as a AVA admin, I see the problems they have. luckily mine are not as time sensitive as theirs. It takes a lot of work and effort and sweat equity to get it right, week after week. I  :salute them for what they do.

:salute the CM team, the CiC, and everyone that makes this game fun!! keep up the good work all.

P.S. if you are red on Friday night, I will kill you with malice!! LOL  :salute :cheers:

I believe I saw some discussion before launch on 202 Text that one or some Task Forces were placed incorrectly from Perdweeb, was that the issue?

When we sighted the CV in the wrong sector, I immediately assumed it was something to do with that, but I couldn't remember the coordinates.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Jaeger mentioned that the CV he was supposed to lift from was not in the sector it should have been via objectives. I took a look and realized he was correct. I notified Mystic who then moved a group into a sector. Apparently, he moved that group into Frame 1's sector, instead of Frame 2.
