The first one went to Jerry Yagen's collection at Virginia Beach in the USA. KA114
It looks like they recently finished another that went to the us also... PZ474
Enter Rod Lewis of Lewis Air Legends and Warren Denholm of Avspecs New Zealand. Avspecs had restored a couple of other aircraft for Rod and had just completed the first ever restoration to flight of a de Havilland Mosquito, KA114 for Jerry Yagen of Virginia Beach. Warren knew Rod was looking to expand his collect so it was a natural choice for Rod to engage Avspecs to rebuild PZ474. She was shipped to New Zealand in Feb 2014 and so began the nearly 5 year restoration back to airworthy.
Her first post restoration flight was carried out on Jan 13th2019 at Ardmore New Zealand with Steve Hinton of California as test pilot and Warren Denholm of Avspecs as the observer.
PZ474 now lives in San Antonio Texas as part of the Lewis Air Legends collection.
