Clearing up a misunderstanding

 Sure,but do you know what a slinky rig is? I've never used it on bass,no need they will hit anything but I've used it many time on trout and often with a fly rod.

  first guy who knows gets a prize!

Is this how you cast the slinky rig?

Never fly fished in my life. See them on the Guadalupe and Llano though when we do multi-day kayak trips.

You have to type louder =)  Thank you Lng15...I am just trying to have fun and just because I learn from other players online, banned or otherwise, does not really make me an ankle jumper.  I learn from ULTactis and BW1spar all of the time...and I put my energy into learning what I did wrong to get killed.  Usually because I am in a bad place with too many bad guys.  I appreciate you sticking up for me!

  Thats all I ever do,sometimes I would take a pic if the fish was worth it. I do like to eat fish,walleye being a fav of mine but most around the Great lakes are too contaminated. No fish over 21 in. should be consumed and women of child baring age and kids shouldnt eat any. Now thats fish in the Great lakes areas.

  A slinky rig is were you put the lead inside a braided hollow line,fishermen first used shoe laces from hockey skates and would put lead shot inside then tie it on like a dropper. This stops most of the hang ups when fishing in rivers with lots of snags and rocks. It;s called a slinky because the lace is like a slinky or a chinese finger puzzle.They work great for trout and Salmon and I've used then fishing for walleye in a few river around me.

  Guess I get to keep the prize!!!

Might work for smallmouth in the Niagara (one of my favorite places to fish).  I know I burn through a lot of tungsten & lead dragging carolina rigs, tubes and drop shots on the bottom of both the upper and lower river.
