Question for thrustmaster 1600 guys
« on: July 30, 2020, 07:33:21 PM »
Does anyone have a thrustmaster t 1600 mapped out with buttons? I would love to beg borrow or steal a copy. My stick died and all the buttons went home and I stayed here. I need to try to remap this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess the right hand buttons are mostly unused for every right handed player so it's the six left hand buttons on the base that you need to map, plus of course the ones on the stick.

On the top I have both guns on the trigger, zoom and clipboard on the sides and look front up in the center. The hat is obviously for the views.

On my list of most used features I'd put on the base if I hadn't them on the throttle are: voice buttons for squad and range, look upand wep. That would leave two buttons for features like weapon change and secondary weapon for bomb and rocket use.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

Thank you so much bizman!! This gives me a starting point!  My stick and throttle lost all functions when we had a power outage I guess. I had nothing for last nights tank wars.  Looks like I have my weekend set up!!  :salute

My control button assignments are attached.

I had buttons 2 and 3 for trim down and up.  I wanted to try zoom for gunnery so button 2 is now zoom and button 3 is combat trim.  Not sure I like it better.

I bought pedals so the twisty is not assigned.  Not sure I like pedals.  Still can't outturn Humboldt and he uses twisty.

Heres mine as well.

Two things, either use the blank page below to print out a copy and write down your final settings, or make a copy of the settings folder (C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High III\settings) and save it some place safe. If you have an issue again, just drop the copy in the folder and your setting are back.

Here's my layout using Fuji's nifty sketch.

My setup is what I feel is optimized for furballing. My left hand is able to manage throttle with the thumb and critical functions with the fingers. The right button bank is for not fighting flight controls and systems that I want close at hand or because the keys are easily forgotten.

Honestly, it was an idea I was kicking around when I was making the diagram. But it won't work. I thought I could map a shift key to the stick and make Shift + Hat work a different function.

Sorry for the confusion.

You can use a button to set a different mode where you use the hat to set trim. The same button can then set the original mode.

the middle hat on the throttle is what i use for trim control.
