There seems to be a parallel between this post and recent events...
When someone in authority says to do something... don't argue and

I’ve never worried about who the moderators are, nor have I worried about being muted. I treat everyone ingame when I talk with respect.  Give them respect like you’d want it. Same goes for forums. Not rocket science, just common sense.  :salute

Standing rule for mods is mute anyone who tries argue a warning.

IE  You deserved the mute.

HiTech

The misdirection here is epic.

Was the warning warranted?

I don't see no misdirection, I see you taking HiTech's post out of context

just my observation

I'm certain, without a doubt, that there are better crusades available.

it's common knowledge that you will get muted if you confront a mod.  now if you feel the warning is unwarranted contact hitech and bring it to his attention. hitech will take care of it if it's wrong.

Of course you wouldn't.

not arguing with you, just pointing out the fact that you quoting a "Statement Post" by HiTech where in that specific post/reply he was explaining why the mute was applied, which has been common knowledge on these messageboards for the last 20 years and taking it completely out of context and twisting his post saying HiTech was misdirecting the thread when hitech never did no such thing...

Got into a discussion on 200 about how bombing and bailing was bad for the game (HT this was 20min ago check the log) and got warned by an OP, then muted when I reiterated my issues with it.

Vink, a channel 200 non-productive whine fest over something Moly had no solution for is a disruption to the game. Moly got warned. Moly got muted when he made it very clear that he was going to persist.

If Moly doesn't like flying with a sock in his mouth then Moly needs to be less disruptive.

by me.    :rofl :bolt:
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

If someone tells you you are doing something stupid.      Do you go and do something stupid to make them right?

Arguing with a mod who may have been mistaken is just the same. A warning is nothing to worry about if you did nothing wrong. Just let it go.

Always remember that the mods have the power to warn you about community standards and block you if they think you have violated community standards and arguing about community standards is against community standards.  :D

I suspect Moly was most likely reported, don't know of course. For me personally certain vulgar words are unacceptable in the game, as they are in public discourse. If you wouldn't use the word in front of your Mother, Daughter or grand daughter, then don't use it here. It has nothing to do with "rights" or "free speech", its called common courtesy.
