Game goes to load then closes straight away

Hi Peeps

I just downloaded AH for the first time in about 5 years. When I go to open it the screen comes up and closes straight away. I remember years ago that this was a DX11 issue and I had to run it in DX9. Is this still the case? My apologies for being a pest but I recently had a stroke and my memory and deductive skills aren't what they used to be.

Not an issue that I'm aware of. You can see if the dx9 version will launch.
If not try posting the first third of a dxdiag report and those smarter than me can probably figure out what the issue is.

Welcome back !

It sounds like it might be a resources issue. Navigating to the game folder (C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High III) you can create a start icon from the AcesHigh9.exe (right click the file and select "create a shortcut") grab the new shortcut and drop it on your desktop.

If it still closes out running the DX9 version run the DXdiag save the info , cut and paste the first 30% or so here and the pros will go from there.
