He responded to me,"When I want to fight, I go to War Online Pacific". OK?  Any interest, is good interest, i guess? :bolt:  @adam parsons  HI friend, when I want to fight, I play War online pacific, ah3 I haven't played in a long time, but haven't seen aces high II such an old game, aces high 2.32 is from 2015, it's a very nice simulator like FSX or Xplane11, was a sin the hiteck shut it down and erase all, luckily have a lot of Ah2 stuffs in CDs.
. About this recording, this was just a offline practice in beta2 terrain.

Well guess I am an oddball heh
Along with AH3
I still have AH2 loaded up as well as War Online Pacific and that other CAF Ghost Squadron version of AH...

The guy is harmless enough but he needs a disclaimer stating he is using an outdated version of the game

A link to "ah3 with vr" would go a long way IMO

I have a metric crap-ton of my own AH III films done in VR. I just need time to edit them with snazzy intros and music and then upload them. Sadly it's still going to be a bit, as I've taken on a lot of real-world projects that need addressing first!

speaking of video recording and VR. Anyone has a good way of making a quality video from AH3 as it is now ?
VR window is small and resulting video is rather low quality. Steam VRView (using HP reverb g2) for some reason is coming out blank in OBS.
Recording 2d view of game movie is little choppy - also it captures only a part of vertical VR view, so it won't result in good looking movies. Things like clipboard/text buffer as invisible - so half the time my film is me staring into a void ;)

I use OBS. In order to get the audio and video to display you have to set up those sources within a profile for what you're recording. Set up different profiles for different games so you can easily switch. I have a RiftS and have used oculus mirror as a source but am currently using game capture for AH. Game capture yields better performance. Only thing I don't like about that is in AH it only displays the left eye which forces me to adjust my in game head position to the left so the gunsight is displayed properly. Be great if there was a way to get it to display the right as I'm generally right eyed.

To set up a game capture source click the plus sign in the sources tab, click game capture. You'll get a dialog screen asking to point at the game exe. Once you have that set up, start the game then drag the corners of what's displayed in the OBS window to the edges otherwise you'll get bars on the edges of your recordings.

For sound I set up a source for desktop audio that's constant and another for my mic that is push to talk using the same keys as AH for TAC and range.

There's a ton of vids on setting up OBS out there. That's how I figured it out.

Never seen it, but not sure why they're using AH2...

Here is my conversation with Aces High Fan about why he plays AH2.

Why aren't you playing Aces High III?

Ah3 is not available for low set PCs and other reasons.

भारतीय के अलावा, i know the languages: русскй, English and Português.

About play Ah3, computer settings not is only my problem. I've played aces high 3
This version lost a lot of flight sim features, the Hold mode is idiot, there's no way to create an incredible environment, trims are useless, the throtte not control speed anymore, the landings got pathetic
with the ''new Super brakes'', the engine before sounded like a huge rock and roll in-line engine, now looks a cessna 172. Aces high in the 3 version turned arcade and seems like it's trying to please kids playing il2 and war thunder. I consider the changes a lot, I know that HTC is trying to sell a ''product'', but look at Microsoft for example, FSX is inferior to FS2020 in a dozen characteristics, but was not legacy!
because FSX got the whole low set PCs class, a flight simulator to allies!
Ah2 is a tremendous competitor to FSX and Xplane, it's weird how only I'm seeing it!

Sounds are the only thing i can agree with on AH3, they make a huge difference. I've dropped race/driving games in the past that had bad sounds, kills the whole feel.

It's on my list of things to do to check out Chalenge's soundpack.  Soundpacks made a lot of difference in AH and AH2.
