I was given a 20,160 minute forum mute ~2013 for posting a link to the Thunderbirds air show being canceled at Luke AFB (west of where I live).

It felt way over board on Skuzzy’s part. I did not even get a warning. When I emailed him he said it was political because it mentioned the President and the economy.

I was fairly new to forum and AH2 (not AH1).

What I wrote iirc, was that it was very disappointing because I had made plans with gf and friends to attend.

My intent was to inform others their local air shows could be canceled too and how disappointing it was.

Only reason I mention it is that it felt way too much for a single post. Personally, I’d say mods are as FLS said above and also 90%+  dishing out proper.

I got muted for spamming a 'gobble gobble' macro on a drunk Thanksgiving. I was a bit much that night and deserved it. I thought it was funny.  :lol

that's a 30 day ban and you tried to make a political post.

once too I was banned for 30 days. same reason. except I don't think I ever said anything political. then again I don't really remember. 1 just took it.  came back 30 days later.

Send the info to HTC support. More often than not it has nothing to do with MODs. If you were warned and mouthed off to a MOD they MUST mute you, its a rule. Other instances are due to a number of players all reporting you. It will automatically mute you. If they mass reported you and you had done nothing wrong, let HTC know and they will all be muted and you will be cleared.

MODs are generally spot on. If they were not they wouldnt be MODs long.

Say you're a mod without saying your a mod.

It was 2 weeks.

I’ve searched for that post/thread, even using advanced search I’m not finding it. If you found it please share with me.  I’m not sure how you can say that I tried to make a political post way back that long ago, unless you found it and re-read it.  Or you have the memory of an elephant…

That’s not how I remember it, but you’re welcome to prove me wrong if you can.

The term mod in my high school days referred to people who wore bizarre clothing, tried to present themselves in strange/out of the norm ways and rode Vespas.

Many wore lots of, if not all black clothing and makeup, later many like that were called “Goth”

Yes, I figure, they were abused.
