« on: January 18, 2022, 04:06:27 PM »
Go to US Postal Service, click on Covid Test. Fill in your email, name and address. You get 4 free test emailed to you. Limit 4 per household.

Well your taxes are paying for it. Might as well take advantage of it.

Maybe that's why you get 4? Average your results? :)

A friend had the symptoms but only the third test showed positive. It can take a while for the disease to show in your snot.

Having done a couple home tests by different makers I can tell that it's not too tempting to dig deep and long enough with the stick. Also, the instructions can be quite hard to understand: On the last package of five it read that one should push a hole through the area marked with a circle. There was also a drawing of a brick of sorts, a flat 3D rectangle. It took me a while to figure out that they meant the box of five instead of the test block as the proportional dimensions of the drawing illustrated a single test carton instead of the family pack... The fever of 38.6 C/101.5 F may also have affected my logical thinking.

Anyhow, there's many ways a first timer or a sick person can fail in performing the test so a bigger pack is a valid option.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

Free test, free shots and soon masks maybe now that they are finally admitting cloth masks are useless and the paper ones almost just as much but N95 is what we should have be using..for the last 2 years..

Pretty sure our tax dollars cover all this free stuff..if not they will print it out of thin air like they do for most things these days

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

I think that is where a lot of these false negatives and positives skew the numbers. I know multiple people who found out they were in contact with someone who just tested positive, and then rush out to get a test and it comes back negative even though it could take days to fester.

No. The USPS is delivering 4 per address to accommodate for families, eg. you cannot put in an order twice to the same residential address. Nice troll though, probably won't be long til this one's locked too!

Troll?

Just stating with the failed accuracy of these things you better do 2 or 3 and average your results to increase the accuracy of these at home tests/guesses...

I can only imagine the average yahoo attempt at this and then trusting its results...

And as omicron is a mild flu for most..why test at all?

Just stay home for a week....like you would pre 2020

Accurate as the test they use at a medical facility. You can take 4 of those at the same time and get different results also. That has been known for quite some time.

There is still delta around.
Omicron can still put in the hospital especially if you aren't vaccinated.

For 'most'...hmm.

If you had 10 skittles and 2 of 10 would kill you, would you eat the skittles?

Delta is just about gone ...very few cases

Majority if not all new cases are omicron

Omicron doesn't kill 2 out of 10 who catch it

Omicron is the flu and a mild one for the majority who have had it

Overreach and overreaction...key words for our medical policies today
