I'm at a loss. Do the pilot thingy and manage to get to D400 but always in a hard flat turn. rarely get hits.
If I got hits anytime I was in range my kills would be MUCH higher.

If it wasn't for the enjoyment of doing the pilot thing I'd be throwing my stick against the wall. And a whole lot of assists..

First thing is try a wired connection if you are using wifi. See if that improves your hit %. 


What aircraft and what is your convergence set to?

There are several variables with hit%,what mode do you usually fly in? If fighter mode and you straife buildings it works against you as it’s considered a miss,in attack mode shooting building will increase the hit%.

  I once had a 35% hit ratio, all I did was fly in attack mode and shoot up a town!. Some time back Lusche posted an average of all the hit% and it was just around 1%.

 So as I said there are many variables and that includes the mode,plane types and guns used amount other things.

I have to figure out how to post a film. Never done that before. I only have one film 

A vast majority of my shots are in a high G flat turn after the con breaks. I'm able to get inside his turn for the shots. But they are high G so the lead is a guessing game under my nose.

I'm going to make it a point to forgo those shots this tour because they rarely hit. When I get shots not in the high G realm I will only take those and see if there is improvement. Follow in the high G turn but wait for a reverse or a straightening of the cons turn. I dont know what else to try.

Have the most success in a yak. I'm too yippy for 50's plane. I've relocated my stick to smooth out my Yips with some success.  Next is valuim...

Spend some time in the training arena with a buddy or a trainer and the LCGS turned on so you can see where you have to put the gunsight for the high G shots. Ctrl-Tab to turn it on, Tab to select target.

My other thought is when closing in, anticipate the break and perform a high yo-yo to cut the corner of the break. That way to stay fast.

Chopping speed in most cases is a death sentence from other cons..

If you have enough foresight you can modify this by turning earlier and then relaxing your turn before 'strafing-a-point-in-space'. Increases the density of shot instead of spraying it around. Also tiny bursts are good practice and often bring great results. Have a go at only squirting out 5-7 cannon rounds say. If they're well-placed it's enough.

Also depends on the plane-armament combination. Some are well matched and some not.

This is me flying / shooting at 24-seconds. We may not have firearms where I live. I always found the 30-mm the easiest perhaps because I did archery and it feels like an arrow when it flies. I think the late model 109s and their armament well-matched.

I need to work on short bursts.

Most all break in the same direction so it's the timing I suck at. That I always come in hot.  As the first shots are coming on a boom.

I find that those that kill me are camped on my six instead of keeping their speed. When I force an overshoot, someone else takes me out.

Gonna be a long tour getting out on what I'm doing and to what really works.

I think you have attached an anxiety of outcome to your shooting and given the mind and body are one thing and not two your body facilitates the belief by twitching when you shoot. Like I suggested once, practice lining up your shots and then close your eyes. Then watch the film afterwards. If the twitching is gone then that was it.
