Have always wished the bombardment from the air and sea had been more accurate as it have save much of the carnage on those beachs IMO.

  indeed. As much as I love the stories of the pilots, those boys on the ground were the ones who took back the continent.

On a lighter hearted note, looks just like pictures of me getting off the bus to go to high school

As a side note. A documentry on Prime show war in a VERY  personable way. The last half an hour is a company surrounded by enemy. Close up and very scarey. Highly recomended.
