D-Day
« on: June 06, 2022, 10:27:57 AM »

Whenever I start feeling sorry for myself about the relatively minor problems I deal with in life, I try to think of being an 18 year old farm boy wading off one of those Higgin boats with MG 42 rounds whizzing by my face.

Then I realize I don't really have many problems.

Toxic, psychotic, self-aggrandizing drama queens simply aren't worth me spending my time on.

Salute to those boys who gave it all that day

Have always wished the bombardment from the air and sea had been more accurate as it have save much of the carnage on those beachs IMO.

:salute indeed. As much as I love the stories of the pilots, those boys on the ground were the ones who took back the continent.

On a lighter hearted note, looks just like pictures of me getting off the bus to go to high school  :x

As a side note. A documentry on Prime show war in a VERY  personable way. The last half an hour is a company surrounded by enemy. Close up and very scarey. Highly recomended.
