Civil War (Movie)
« on: December 14, 2023, 02:49:51 PM »
Coming in Spring to a theatre near you.

My favourite type of movies are documentaries, or sometimes those based on true stories. I do also enjoy some fictional dramas that have a plausibility factor. That's one of the reasons I despise all these Marvel and similar superhero movies that they're endlessly pushing out nowadays.

Anyway, this might be complete cheese, or possibly jingoistic propaganda, but it has a chance to be an amazing and compelling blockbuster if it's done right --> https://youtu.be/aDyQxtg0V2w?si=NkAQ21iu4UpqgfFc

I'll definitely watch.

I'm Interested to see how they'll portray the combatants.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Predictive programming?

I was thinking something similar given the timing of the release before the next election.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN

Texas and California join forces to fight other parts of the US.

So it's got that realistic element going for it.

Many from California have moved to Texas. They're talking about renaming Austin to New California.

Watched Leave the World Behind the other day. I thought it was interesting. Wife didn't.

If it is "predictive programming" then why expose your plans?

Predictive programming is getting people used to something so that there is less resistance to it happening.

However, predictive programming and a forewarning appear similar.

The context of that movie was revealing a shadow government creating events to overturn a government/society. If that were my goal I would not reveal it ahead of time. Unless something else was known or planned and my goal was deception. When the power goes out we may have little more than speculation as to why.

Gangs, military, any yahoo with a gun...

No electricity,  zero personal control

Suicide off the charts...

It won't last long

While I am not convinced regarding the term "tribalism" I have to agree with the individual being interviewed on a lot of points. There is a divide between large groups but I'm not convinced it is on the basis of blue collar agrarian society vs elites. I think it is more on the basis of constitutionalism vs socialism as being espoused in a contrived or hidden manner in "higher education". I put that in quotes as I am seeing a tremendous number of kids going into what I would term "gucci" majors vs something that is going to allow them to have a viable career in the real world. We need far more real hard scientists and engineers (of all types) than we do social majors.

I think education should also be moved out of anything termed "liberal arts" since education should be politically neutral and more science based than arts as in touchy feelly crap. There is more than enough real world information on how to teach kids with differing learning abilities and should NEVER be based on some social concept such as being concerned for the kid's feelings vs achievements. If the kid cannot , or more likely simply refuses to, learn and make the grade then they should be held back. Failure is always an option in the real world and not teaching / training kids about that is a true disservice.

I was going to my kids in a fishing competition and I asked if they were going to award prizes for the 3 biggest fish. I figured top 3 was normal. They told me "don't worry, everybody will get something" I didn't let my kids fish cause I don't want them to learn that coming in 20th out of 20 gets a prize...

Gay sex on the senate floor with a registered foreign agent from DR, school board members being sworn in on pornography books. Baphomet statues at the Iowa capitol. Reddit raging over that being taken down, but are fine with George Washinton statues being toppled. The media non stop assault on a 4 year politician. Tax money being sent overseas. A civil war/revolution is going to come sooner than later. The funny thing is though, it will be started by the left and their raging "protests", but it's the men stopping them who are the "bad guys". I'm surprised one hasn't started already. Thing is, it will all come down to who the president is. One side will okay UN and China Troops, the other will oppose it.
