Bf 109G-6 "White 5" flown by Hans Seyringer of 4./Jg 27 in January 1944 while based at Wiesbaden-Erbenheim, Germany. On January 30th, Seyringer claimed his 2nd air victory, a P-47 over Holland, but was then himself shot down. He bailed with injuries, and the aircraft was destroyed.
This aircraft was an Erla built machine with an alternate version to the typical saw-tooth camouflage pattern found on 109G-6's built at the Erla plant. Markings include a black spinner with a white spiral, yellow lower wing tips and a green tail band - a feature newly adopted by Jg 27 at the time when "White 5" was lost.
