Still Baffled !!!! when i unplug my CH Pedals I hear nothing, as mentioned before they worked fine Wednesday night along with the stick , my 10 plus year old Power usb hub still works because i have my wireless mouse, headphones and throttle and keyboard all  plugged in there. Now when i tried the stick in every open usb port i have now , the stick will chime then an error message will appear saying unknown device, I know these plug n plays and should work but for some reason my Polish arse can't get the to work. Stick shows power to it just not noticed anywhere I check on my pc,,,, Was hoping to fly tonight but guess I will have to wait til i sort all of this out. I did update my sm bus driver but i still have one usb port that i can't figure out how to update it.

Drivers. Something is telling me the CH stuff needed the drivers in the software to register. Might explain the unknown device. Don't know if that'll work for Win11. I know you had to have the last version of the control manager installed for Win10. Want to say it's v4.55a. Has to be that version or it won't work. Also had to run a program contained in that software called CMStart enabled at windows startup. Remember having a similar problem going from Win7 to Win10. Been a while for this tho.

I have an eclectic mix of stuff these days. VKB, Virpil, MFG and Logitech. Have the software installed for them all if only just to calibrate but only have them at their defaults. I use joystick gremlin to map everything.

Regarding unknown devices, I repeat my advice about cleaning the Device Manager. At least get rid of the greyed Unknown Devices as they may conflict with the ones that actually work.

Is the tm1600 throttle I sent being recognized in windows?

I didn't have any issues with it being recognized properly in windows 10 or 11 when I used it..

I would open game controller window and see if they look/act correctly there..

Then leaving that window open go into ah and try to set them up in there..

When I had a x52 hotas I had to leave that game controller window open for ah to see the x52 properly and allow its 3 different settings options to work correctly..

Funny tho both VKB and Virpil say DO NOT even try to use the windows controller panel to manage their controllers. Messes things up. Made that mistake once---it did! IIRC if you clicked on the CH stuff there it would tell you to use the control manager. I just remember battling with my CH stuff when I went from Win7 to 10.

I have CH pedals under Win10 and have no issues.

Do you have another computer you can try the controllers on? Anything with a USB port. If you have the same issues, its the controller(s), if they work on the other system, then its your computer. One step at a time.

throttle works fine and the only thing that windows sees right now and also still has the programmed settings i did, the ch pedals also worked that same night i programed the throttle, I did it all in the game that night, then I came in to program the stick the throttle still showed after i programed the stick but when i went to test a flight run offline thats when i noticed the ch pedals werent showing .

Biz I understand what your saying about clean the Device Manager out but I have no grey areas to clean and still windows is not seeing the Stick even though it is lit up .....

Question is TeamView Still a thing , some other players helped me clean my system out back in the day and
I was wondering if this would also help me with my issues now

They do get weak and "die." Unfortunately mine didn't outright die when it went. Everything needing much power might or might not work the next time I fired up AH. Which seemed random. Another symptom was mysterious windows beeps when the controllers came online or dropped out.

When you're testing the controllers in the PC's sockets, unplug anything other than your keyboard and mouse first to be as sure as you can there is enough power for the one controller you're testing.

Hope this was helpful

All my stuff is plugged into my pc . The power usb hub I just started to use again after sitting for years and I use that only for my wireless headset mouse and I have my keyboard plugged into it. The throttle pedals and stick are plugging my mobo so that’s why I keep saying baffled. I will check Skuzzys links out when I wake up.

As recommended by others above, unplug everything not required for a cold boot of your PC. That means only your mouse and keyboard. No USB hub, nothing!

Plug in the joystick. Test, unplug the joystick.
Plug in next controller... rinse and repeat.

Oh, two more things. Try the controller(s) in different sockets as some may have better power than others.
Secondly, I predict you'll need to replace that '10 yr old' (probably original USB 1.0) powered hub with a new 3.0...

I hesitate to say it as my memory may be playing tricks on me, and I wasn't able to find the thread, but I recall Skuzzy saying we didn't need the CH software and AH would run better without it. That's how I always ran 3 of my CH controllers at the same time, no CH software, but yes, a working powered hub as he recommended. Windows 7 through Windows 10.
I never had issues with any controllers until I got into VR, but that's for another post.

Now then, get those controllers working lol.

No grey devices at all under any title? That sounds weird, usually there's some under HID devices and some Microsoft stuff under Sound.

TeamViewer is still around. There's other free to use options as well.

Not sure if this will help any one but I had a nightmare issue with my CH gear, Ch Control Manager, and Windows 10 several years ago.

Drano and a few others contributed to that thread.

https://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,400107.msg5303706.html

However I found that ultimately the best Fix for bad CH Gear was to Buy Virpil.

The only CH gear I have is my Throttle Quadrant and Yoke (the Yoke is getting replaced soon when I get back into civilian flight sims like MSFS, Xplane 11/12)
