Are you using a Hyper X Cloud stinger 2 manager software? Some units come with their own software to assign levels and such. If so check to see if that software is resetting your sound settings. If so, either make a profile for AH, or disable the manager.

Have you tried updating your headset drivers or checking for any software conflicts? Sometimes resetting the audio settings or using a different USB port can help too.

For what I've noticed the microphone settings can change after having used some other program that automatically changes them. Some years ago Skype seemed to be the culprit for my similar issues. Double checking when starting the game is an easy remedy.

You try going into Sound Settings > Input > Device Properties > Additional Device Properties, then under the Advanced tab, uncheck “Allow applications to take exclusive control.” I fixed it this way.

For a reliable fix, consider checking your audio settings or updating your headset drivers. If you're looking for a fun distraction while troubleshooting, try playing the addictive game Slope to take a break. It might help to refocus your mind for a bit before tackling the mic problem again.
