After Action Report (AAR)
Date: 20 Mar 2025
Time: 0700hrs Z
Participants: 99capera / Rotbaron
Objective
To engage in a one-on-one aerial duel as per the agreed-upon terms, with aircraft selection determined by Capera.
Summary of Events
For months, Rotbaron had been making claims of superior piloting skill, challenging capera to a duel. After repeated discussions and delays, the challenge was formally accepted. Capera, as agreed, selected the aircraft: Spitfire Mk I, and the duel was set at 5,000 feet over a designated area between two bases.
Both pilots took off as planned. capera arrived at the designated altitude and awaited Rotbaron’s arrival. However, instead of honouring the agreed-upon terms, Rotbaron appeared in a Bf 109, an aircraft with a significant performance advantage over the Spitfire Mk I. This was a clear and intentional breach of the duel’s agreed parameters.
Despite violating the conditions, Rotbaron proceeded to engage and later took to open communications to boast of his so-called "victory," disregarding the fact that his actions lacked both integrity and sportsmanship.
Assessment
Breach of Agreement: Rotbaron disregarded the mutually agreed-upon aircraft selection, opting instead for a superior plane to ensure an unfair advantage.
Lack of Honor: By failing to engage in an honorable contest and then gloating afterwards, Rotbaron demonstrated a complete lack of sportsmanship.
False Claims: His post-duel claims of superiority are baseless, as they were achieved through dishonourable means rather than skill.
Conclusion
This event serves as a clear example of dishonourable conduct in competitive flight simulation. A true test of skill requires adherence to agreed-upon conditions, and those who fail to respect such agreements expose their own lack of integrity rather than proving any legitimate superiority.
