asus a7n266-e

or

msi k7n420pro

So far these are the only 2 boards I've found using nforce.

I looking to build a new system and I am wondering should I wait.

I read blooms post on the nforce he put together and I'm leaning toward the msi board with Athlon XP 1800+

The asus board cost a bit more and the msi includes a Integrated 10/100 BaseT Ethernet/Fast Ethernet.

They both include onboard Integrated GeForceMX-class advanced GPU and Integrated Audio Processor Unit and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound by MCP-D(420d)

I'll be disabling the onboard gf2 and putting in my old gf3 (visiontek original) until the gf4s get broke in.

I gonna build a whole new system from mouse to monitor.

My question is should I wait for more nforce boards?

Cost is not a problem however I am still a bit of a cheapskate...........

I built my current system about 2 years ago and the only thing I paid for was a printer, ram and my 21 viewsonic. the rest was salvaged or given to me (mb/processor)

piii 866
asus cuv4x
pc 133 384 sdram

Everything runs fine just what something new.

Wait or go thats the question..........

any suggestion.............

thanks in advance.........

Unfortunately I'm pressed for time, otherwise I would write more.

I thought I should let you know that nVidia has a new 415 chipset that is identical to the 420, but without the integrated video.  MSI is  supposedly going to release a board based on it.  If you can find one using the 415 then you can save some money by not having the integrated video.

Bloom has a good point.  That 415 is what I'm waiting for, as the integrated video is simply wasted money and wasted board resources for anybody that is a gamer.

I'll be wanting an Abit 415 board, but I might be tempted by another manufacturer if Abit takes to long. :)  I believe Abit has an NForce board out currently with the on-board video.

I'm not sure when the 415d chipset boards will hit the consumer market, but it should be soon.

Abit doesn't have any info on their new board yet.

Asus has info on theirs, but I haven't found it for purchase yet. http://usa.asus.com/mb/socketa/a7n266-c/overview.htm

MSI just says they're working on it in a press release, but no link to a product page like Asus has.

I'm not sure if any other manufacturer is making any.
