okedoke, have MS forcefeedback and now it's forceless, limp and soft...
For about 2 wks when flying intermitantly lose FF for a  few secs and then regain it...

Today it has gone away...
Rebooted, uninstall, reinstall  etc and still a soft one in my hand..

Any ideas anyone?
OS= XP
Purty please :D

First thing I would do is check the power supply, if it has one. My CHFFX power supply connect has a tendency to loosen and give me the same limp feel...pulg it back in and it feels like it's taken a 100mg Viagra :D

Your green light should be on all the time.

I have issues with old MS FF stick and AH too though, going limp during stall horn (ahem!).  It's annoying

Isn't going into a stall supposed to unload the stick? I only have the "trim" enabled in the settings, that gives me the feel of speed and the feedback needed to avoid a stall.

Your green light should be on all the time.  The MSFF 1 stick I had began it's downward spiral with that.  The power cord connection to the stick became loose over time.  When the lights flashing, just push the power cord back in and you should be ok.

If your getting the intermittent loss of FF and the green light is NOT flashing, you might be having another problem that I experienced.  I don't know the technical name for this, but the little metal rods that turn the gears that provide the FF become "rounded" and eventually won't turn the gears at all.  I took mine apart to try and fix it, however once I got in there.. I  sorta said f-it and went out and got a MSFF2 lol.  If you've got the patience, you can glue those things tight again (supposedly)..dunno how long that will last though.

Cheers all for replies and remedies,
Found the prob, where the power cord inserts into the JS,  some parts had broken off, tried to fix for some time, and  when i plugged it back in,aghh, sigh of relief..

And then to fly i went, only to be very damn impressed with Version 109, g'damn i thought, great fumes of smoke billowing from ruined cockpit and i can even smell the plane going down in flames.....
alas alack, my sweaty palms were not from excitement,  but from a smoking, melting joyless stick

My electrician days are over, my joystick hunting days begin

Take the point about stall modelling. Maybe that's it.
I would havbe thought when you eased up from a too tight turn though, loading would return.

When my MSFF1 started crapping out, I called MS, they asked for the product number off of the bottom, forwarded me to a fulfillment centre that shipped me a brand new MSFF2, or I could have had the choice of my money back.  It was waaaay past warranty too!

I took the new stick, they shipped it prepaid and it got here in about 3 days.  Try calling, you may have luck.  Don't think I'd mention the fiddling with it though ;)

This was just this past December.
