Ozzy - the history buff...
« on: March 20, 2002, 03:53:18 PM »
Anyone else been watching 'the Osbournes' on MTV?  Aside from being damn funny, it has given me the key to the Ozzy puzzle - he's a WWII History Buff.  It all comes together.

As mentioned, the show is hilarious, especially his son.  My favorite tidbit last night - Sharon (Ozzy's wife) is taking Jack (Ozzy's son) to drop him off for a school sponsored camp out, which Jack isn't happy about.

Sharon: How are you getting there?
Jack: On a bus.
Sharon: Who is driving?
Jack: A man with no legs.

I love that show.  It is the only thing on MTV worth watching.  Unfortunately, it just encourages MTV execs to show fewer videos and more shows.

If Jack is really as big of a jerk-off as he is on the show, I have no doubt that someone will kick his bellybutton before too many more episodes.

I don't remember the WWII reference, what was it?

The best part of last night's show was during his daughter's birthday party when Ozzy was complaining about the crappy music and how the artist's whole album was like one 14 minutes long song.  Suddenly the music stopped and Ozzy said, "This is the best part of the album, right here.....".  :D

Ozzy's a loser
he is so fried from drug/alcohol abuse it isn't even funny.

I mean. the show is funny in a sick way, but the man...
not funny to see how badly a guy can screw himself up.

I think he's sharp and funny - he just has a strong accent that makes it seem like he's retarded to Americans.

As for the WWII reference, in the first episode they are moving into the house and his wife is talking about the TV, and about how it needs to have all the WWII channels.  Then Ozzy is trying to figure out the remote, and when they finally get the History channel to come up, he gets this contented look in his eyes... he's got a rifle - it's a Garand.

PUH lezz.....Ozzy is albeit a drug addict but a reformed one.  Im sure there have been things in your life that you have regretted and made ammends for, so before you pass judgment, shut your pie hole and think.  Ozzy is a true family man albeit not your average one.

I have been following it also, too damn funny. Ozzy is a riot everyone else is just feeding him.

My favorite scene was the first show when he was trying to work the remote for the TV, I fell over laughing.

That show is fantastic. And Ozzy is the King.

Fried or not, he cleaned up, seems to me to be a real good family man and dad for sure, smart, rich, in decent shape for being 107, and has toured and worked hard since the 60’s to become as successful as he is. Not to mention has put out some of the best tunes ever.

Not funny, sick??

Hard work and being rock star isn’t supposed to be funny. Yet Ozzy even manages that as well, in a good way of course.

And You go F*CK yourself!!!
Ozzy is the man,and the best rock n` roll singer there ever was.

BTW since a friend of mine is the tour manager for Incubus,so I got to go backstage Ozzfest a couple years ago,and hung out with Jack Osbourne. He wasn`t annoying at all,but we didn`t pay all that much attention  to him.It was still cool to say we hung with Ozzy`s son.
A year before that I saw Black Sabbath (from the lawn) and it was the most surprising concert I`ve ever seen. Those guys sound better than they did on the recrds 30 years ago.
