Sometimes I do, but it only happens when i pull the trigger with cons around, it just pauses really fast before the tracers come, pretty strange, but still playable on my end

Any ideas?  I get it bad whenever I pull the trigger.  Makes it darn difficult to play.  If I pull the trigger, the screen freezes for at least a 1/2 second, and then I'm dead....

I sometimes get that when I start the recorder.

If you guys provide system details, OS version, and driver version information it would help.  With no info to work with, it makes it pretty hard to give you any advice.

If the freeze occurs when u fire guns.. do this...

Control Panel
Multimedia
audio
advanced properties
performance tab

Move the hardware acceleration slider 1-2 notches to the left
test, and adjust

I rarely get minifreezes, but I do get them. Do any of you change the primary guns? I've noticed REAL wacky stuff when I try that.

Duron 750 o'cked to 850
128 Ram [soon to go up to 256 I hope]
Abit KT7A
GeForce2MX  O'clked about 10%
[IF remember to before I run game]
[running 14.20 Det w coolbits enabled using 2 files from 14.21]
Win98se

The \ key is the 'Select Primary Weapon' key and it seems to switch the gun used as the 'Primary' gun. On the P51 it changes the primary from the inboard singles to the outboard dual .50s.
When I do that, I sometimes got wacky results, guns firing without graphic flashes, sound, etc. I'm not really sure when that key would be used and I should probably just unmap it on my Joystick. I do have the fire secondary and fire both which I do use.
I can try it again and let you know exactly what happens, when I select a different primary gun. I'm not sure if it acted differently only when rockets and bombs were loaded but I had them loaded when I reverified the 'wackiness' before I posted this.

Heh, now do me a favour... never "upgrade" drivers again! :)

Seriously... if you have it all working fine, I would stay with these drivers until you are absolutely forced to change.  Don't try newer ones in the hopes of a speed increase.... because in my experience the tiny increase always comes with increased risk of problems.

Thanks for the update... I'll recommend the 28.90's to others if they have similar problems.
