Where's the JU-52? Sure, it can be argued that the C-47 is a superior aircraft because it's faster, but at least the JU has a gun.

Were there ANY other troop transports with guns?

Sandman yes there were. The Soviets coppied the C47 and put a top turret gun on it. Wouldn't take much to put that variant in IMO.
