Guess I would add one more thing, though... dueling rarely settles anything. If a guy is an amazinhunk before the fight, chances are he'll be an amazinhunk when it's over. Sure, you'll probably mop the floor with AmOn, I've little doubt. Still, if the twisted logic of his postings is what is making you call him on his dueling prowess, what makes you think he'll see it any clearer if you do smack him down?
Lazs is right once again; he knows the pointlessness of such events, as do many others, I'm sure. Don't get me wrong, I'd go to the DA and watch, but it won't prove a thing we don't already know.
We had a big "Rumble" a little over a year ago, with many pilots involved. While most participants were in it for fun, two were in it for blood. It wound up pretty ugly, and did nothing to solve the dispute- in fact, IMHO it made things worse. That's history now, and things are cool, but it serves to remind us what can happen when you use a duel to settle matters.
Possible exception here might be if Man and I dueled; he first in a Spit, me in a D9, then reverse. We could go in a series, so many duels one way, then the same number the other. In reality though this wouldn't be a duel at all, rather a test. What I think would happen is he would kill me 4 out of 5 regardless of the rides, but that is only my guess. Still, if I thought ego had anything to do with it I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole.
Which is why I would never accept AmOn's challenge to seemingly everyone. There is nothing positive to gain by it.
