Monday morning puzzle, what is wrong with this picture

Besides wings that short flex... yea for about 1 inch or so ...

a long airliner wing will flex for a few feet but a P38s wing you won't see any of this

I just picked up the 1/48th scale P-38 sitting on my desk, rotating it to the same bank angle. Looks just like the photo. Superfly said it best, "it's called perspective". If the wings have 10 degrees of dihedral,and the plane is banked 35 degrees, one wing will be 45 degrees to your view, the other 25 degrees. One will appear shorter than the other.

Yeah it does look a little funny,  but not only the wings look at the left engine/fusealage, looks kinda like its bent up, and prop isnt moving so its not really in flight.

The prop ain't movin in the picture because someone forgot to hit the play button........



Seriously...high shutter speeds will "freeze" moving objects...ala the propellor in question.  If you look though, you will see the left prop is a bit fuzzy looking because it is in fact moving and covered that short distance in the time the shutter was open for the picture.

Nothing looks bent to me.  It just looks like the tops of the booms are flat and straight and the undersides have a curvature to them.
