What do people do for a living?
« on: August 30, 2002, 12:58:29 PM »
Just wanted to find out how all the over 18s support their AH habit.

I'm a Pastor in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).

Wlfgng, if I come wandering through Colorado on my way to Canada in a few weeks... would you show me that lake where you took the trout picture?

Oh, yeah.. on topic... I fly for a living. But I'm trying to figure out how to retire and raise Labradors in a pretty place with good trout fishing and great bird hunting... that has a good connect to AH.

Not asking much, am I?   ;)

sure Toad.  Be glad to.

get your hiking shoes and oxygen mask though..

we start the hike at 10,200 feet or so and climb to 12,100

btw, I live in Snowmass which is 5 miles from Aspen.
From Denver it's about 3.5 hour drive.

just fyi because a lot of people drive through and then realize "oh shi*.. didn't realize it was that far up in the hills "

Software developer.  I primarly build e-commerce applications in Java.  I was on the team that built bn.com, kinkos.com, columbiahouse.com.  I've also built a reserve modeling forecast system for an energy trading company and a templating system for a large media company which allows their partners to easily build a web presence.  Currently, I am building a web-enabled phone conferencing system.

Yeah, I know where Aspen is. Been out through there a few times.

Been up near 12k too.. down by Bonfisk Peak by Crested Butte, elk hunting. Course I was a tad younger then.  :) Might could still make it though....
