I haven't had time to read the whole thread yet (will do so at home) BUT ...

Has anyone considered that a con was in the vicinty the base from where the NOE attack upped from and simply reported seeing 8 planes + goon NOE heading west?

There was only one person there to do the "considering" and his reputation precedes him. Some would rather cry cheat than do pretty much anything else in the world.

Anyway, I never said anything about the PROPRIETY of spying. Yep, spying existed IRL, but so did counter-spying. I'm using the only methd of counter-espionage available to me. PERIOD. Please adjust misguided flames.

Last night a fellow Knitwit was whining about a spy in our midst because our CV off A42 was attacked and our other CV at the nearby port was left alone.

How could the Rookies find our CV off A42 cried the Knitwit?!?!

There must be a spy in our midst he cried some more!!

He then gets on channel 1 and starts berating this 'spy' with commments of CHEATER! DWEEB! and other sorts of school yard names.

Then I finally told him how the Rookies spotted our CV off A42. I told him when you have a plane appear suddenly somewhere in a sector over water and there aren't any land bases nearby, 9 out of 10 times, where that dot appeared in the sector on radar is the location of the CV.

But that's just common sense and that's something that seems to be lacking in this game for a few.

Yup, CavemanJ's spy talk is about me.
I was the person they thought was spying last night. Like I said over channel 1, I rarely play the game anymore ( about 2 hours total the last 2 tours combined) I couldn't give a rats bellybutton about strats or spys. I just like a few flights here and there, and don't need the spy crap, and name calling on channel 1. So, in short, your barking up the wrong tree!!!!

Caveman, sorry to tell you to STFU last night but i'm just so tired of being called a spy and other such choice words while i'm trying to enjoy a few hours a month flying.
