MOH Spearhead

Anybody tried it yet?   I picked it up Saturday afternoon and was done by Sunday 2am.   By Sunday evening I had played it again.

3 Areas,  Normandy, the Ardennes, and Berlin
Good levels but just a little to easy.
Pluses,  now you can man artillery pieces like Flak88 and 20mm antiaircraft guns.   In Berlin you man a T-34.   Normandy invasion as a paratrooper, the sequence where you jump out of the C47 is right out of Band of Brothers.

Overall its good, I was just a little disappointed in how fast it went

Don’t mean to rob your thread Major, but got me thinking of our Lan meets and games I play that I never would have, or once I did, tried Singleplayer. Guys have lotsa software to look at. None as a flightsimmer I would have.

MOHAA. I liked it. Like the opening scene you described in the expansion, the Beach scene in the original was intense, and much like Saving Private Ryan, comparative to Band of Brothers. Lost interest on later levels because of some insane death traps. I think they were actual bugs. I didn't like the graphics much, then turned them up. Pretty cool. How’s LAN play on it?

SOF2. Later levels are a riot Single player. Guys rotate trying to get through them and it’s pretty good trying to get through what the other guy can’t. Only tried the demo multiplayer and didn’t like it. If I could lose the cut scenes, or chose other levels because I hate the beggining story, it would be great.

Ghost Recon, with both expansions up to Thunder Island. Huge amounts of fun single and multiplayer, although Rainbow 6 seemed to have better things at times. Of the whole like series, Sum of All Fears was the best. This is great LAN play, all titles.

IL-2. It’s as fun as AH on LAN play. Going 2V2 we play for hours in dogfights. Nothing like being able to taunt the guy next to you, and dodge real items (pens, keyboards insults) thrown at you in response! Good thing they are not good flightsim players, it’s like fighting the AI but they get either twice as stupid, sometimes way better. COOP is a whole nother thing. I could care less about the other 200 “people” we can’t see, and won’t elaborate.

Castle Wolf. I hate multiplay LAN, because maps are too big, but it provides fun anyway. Dipshit campers always hate when I look at their monitor, and throw more even stuff at me.

F1 2001. No Krappy, I haven’t upgraded to 2002, but this has just HUGE potential. (if they make it CART, doh!)

I think Raven Shield will be the next LAN and single player game.

I picked up Spearhead 2 days ago and my Son and I have already beaten it.

I enjoyed it just as much as MOH but it was waaaay to short.

My Son loved the very first scene so much he kept restarting the game.

Creamo,  Multiplayer is pretty good,  especially new one "Tug of War"  Several objectives to be completed including blowing up the enemy's spawn point.  I just hid out near our spawn point and waited for the enemy to show up to plant the explosives, got like 17 kills in 5 mins and only died 5 times.   Only played for a couple of hours online, found a decent server with pings below 100, and play was smooth, graphics smooth.    Still a few tards run around killing everybody regardless of what side they are.  Logged on to another server that had pings in the 120 range and it was a bit jerky but not too bad.   The new smoke grenades don't help much.
Try replaying MOH Creamo, there were a couple of patches on that CD and the readmes referenced several bugs that where fixed,  maybe play will be better.   I had dnld a couple of patches before this from the website but I'm going to try it again this weekend and see if there is any difference.

Turdboy, same here, I replayed the Normandy level several times just to jump out of the C47.
I agree, just to short, and no sneaky missions, I kinda like the ones where you have to get through the level with setting off alarms.
