Grun, I don't accuse you personally for anything. All I am trying is to signal caution before trusting reasons presented to you by a politician.

I know that hristo, however I think that after september 11 its very clear to many americans that things have changed and that we cannot just sit back and hope the oceans protect us.

I think europeans are also weary of bush precisely because he is so honest and straight forward and direct with his intentions. They got used to 8 years of a very crafty slick politician and his group who they liked becouse they were inderect and indecisive like much of europe is. They hate bush and rumsfeld because they have clear purpose and dedication - something that clinton never had in foreign policy even tjhough he did av great job in domestic politics. Basically european politicans are pissed that america doing its own thing whether they like it or not, they want to feel important even thopugh they really arent because they depend on US strenghth so much.

So far Bush' purpose and dedication didn't convince me. If he was all honest and straight forward, he'd never make it to the high politics. I think he's a madman (my personal opinion). Some of Eurofarts arguments don't hold water either, they'd be doing the same if they could.

Don't idolize Bush too much, it may come back to bite you.

I dont idolize him in any way but I do agree that he is making the correct difficult choices that need to be made and taking the actions that need to taken at this time. He is acrificing a lot politically and economically but he is doing the right thing.  You see thays what bugs the eurostudmuffins so much, they dont understand decisive action. They didnt understabnd it when thatcher went to the falklands. They didnt understand it whe reagan challenged the soviets like he did in the 1980s. They didnt understand it when churchill was acting up about hitler in late 1930s.  European culture is just too overly analytical and wound up - this is perfectl underatandible beacuse europe has had no rsponsibities on the world stage since ww2 - america has taken care of them while they rebuilt their rich ecomies in aftermath of another splendid sucess of euro talk ploilitcs ww2.
